Logitech G X56 HOTAS — Military-Grade Precision for Flight Simulation
The Logitech G X56 HOTAS (Hands On Throttle-And-Stick) is the premier choice for virtual pilots demanding total immersion and professional control. Designed specifically to meet the needs of space and flight simulation, the X56 features a twin-throttle system and a high-precision stick with a 16-bit sensor. With customizable RGB lighting and over 189 programmable controls, it provides the tactical depth required for complex maneuvers in modern combat and civilian flight simulators.
The advanced twin-throttle and stick setup with full RGB customization.
To master the skies, installing the official Logitech X56 Software is non-negotiable. This utility allows you to calibrate the response curves of the stick, adjust the dead zones for every axis, and program complex multi-key macros for your cockpit. Furthermore, the software manages the spring tension system (via the included four springs), allowing you to physically and digitally match the stick’s feel to your flying style.

Flight Simulation Optimization: Precision Matters
Using the X56 Configuration Software is the difference between a crash landing and a successful mission:
- 6 Degrees of Freedom (6DoF): Configure the twin analog mini-sticks for strafing, allowing for total control in space simulators.
- Response Curves: Soften the stick’s sensitivity at the center (dead zone) to prevent jitter while maintaining full travel authority.
- Custom Profiles: Create and switch between distinct profiles for different aircraft — from a nimble fighter jet to a heavy cargo plane.

? FAQ
Why is my X56 HOTAS experiencing “ghost clicks”?
Ghost clicks are often caused by inadequate power supply from your PC’s USB ports. The X56 consumes a significant amount of power due to its many LEDs and sensors. We highly recommend plugging both the stick and throttle into a powered USB hub or independent USB 3.0 ports on your motherboard’s rear I/O.
How do I adjust the friction on the twin throttles?
There is a large rotary dial on the left side of the throttle base. Turning it clockwise increases the tension (friction), making it harder to push, which is better for heavy bombers. Turning it counter-clockwise makes the movement light and fast, ideal for dogfighting.
Does the X56 work with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020?
Yes, the X56 is natively supported. However, due to its complex button layout, the default mapping may not cover all switches. We recommend using the Logitech Configuration Software to map specific functions and then finishing the fine-tuning within the game’s control menu.
